Principal Electrical Engineer (US Citizen)

Description:
Principal Electrical Engineer G10 client's Electrical Design Directorates (EDD) vision is to be the premier engineering resource for world-class electrical design and test through connected people, performance, relationships and solutions.
Responsibilities:
Supporting engineering design verification testing, production test and final system level verification and sell-off. This includes in-plant or field testing.
Typical test solutions include simulation, stimulation and data acquisition capability to provide stimulus and response test environments for verifying functional performance. Typical test systems encompass Hardware In the Loop Stimulators, Custom Automatic Test Equipment, Commercial Automatic Test Equipment, High Power, Mixed-Signal, Digital and Environmental Stress Screening systems, mechanical holding fixtures, adapters and interface cabling and harnessing.

This position will need a U.S. Security Clearance within one year of start date.
REQUIRED:
BS Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering or Electronic Engineering Technology.
8+ years of experience in engineering design and development environment and 4+ years of direct exposure to Test Equipment
Design and Development tasks.
Desired Qualifications:
Digital and/or Analog and/or RFand/or power supply test hardware design experience. Experience with the use of Commercial Test and Measurement Equipment.
VXI/VME/MXI/PXI/CompactPCI Application DevelopmentCMMI and 6 Sigma experience.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills are desired.
Good decision-making and problem-solving skills are essential.
Experience with VHDL would be a plu.s
Software applications / programming skills would be a plus.
The ability to obtain a security clearance is essential.
