Electromagnetic Environmental Effects Engineer

Location: Fort Worth, TX (76118)

US Citizen

12-18 Months


The Electromagnetic Environmental Effects Engineer is responsible for developing, managing and communicating the E3 methodology for a new commercial development program to internal and external
customers.


Position Responsibilities:


• Applies engineering principles to investigate, analyze, plan, design, develop, implement, test, and
evaluate air vehicle and air vehicle systems with respect to E3 systems engineering.
• Determines System level E3 requirements and work with IPTs and suppliers to develop and verify
compliant systems.
• Performs air vehicle and systems level analyses to verify performance.
• Plans, supports, and manages E3 testing to meet qualification requirements.
• Prepares plans and reports for E3 testing of systems.
• Reviews and approves supplier E3 test plans and reports.
• Works closely with IPTs to review evolving design and provide E3 input into their decisions,
providing E3 impacts to all Design Decision Notices.

Education Requirements:

- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering is required preferably Electrical. Aerospace & Mechanical Engineering degree may be considered with sufficient experience.
- FAA DER or engineering ODA unit member experience preferred
- Master’s Degree is preferred.

Position Requirements:

- 9+ years of E3 experience on airborne platforms is preferred.
- Must have the ability to communicate efficiently and effectively to coordinate E3 activities, prioritize
tasks, and report status.
- Must be able to build and maintain effective relationships with customers, internal and external
suppliers, as well as horizontal integrations across the other teams.
- Familiarity with aerospace design and verification processes to include; requirements develop and
verification, preliminary and detailed design, MRP, Planning, Manufacturing, Procurement and Maintenance
processes is preferred.
- CATIA experience is preferred.
- PC proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook is required.
- Must have the ability to work effectively within a team.
- Good interpersonal and organizational skills are required.
