Helicopter Avionics Technician

Description:
Position Avionics Technicians
Piney Flats, TN 37686
Contract length 3 mo+
Shift 1st
Pay Range $27-35.00 DOE

Additional Notes Applicants will be subject to a skills test.
Initial test is done by telephone
Candidate that passes the telephone portion will be invited to the in-person test.
Job Details
Position Summary:

•Avionics repair and system installation
•Installing avionic systems and kits in Bell commercial helicopters Testing and maintaining electrical systems
•Fabrication of custom sheet metal items
•Installation of wires and building wiring harnesses
•Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education:
•High School Diploma or equivalent required
•Additional training in electrical installations or wiring may be a plus

Position Requirements:

•MUST HAVE 2 YEARS RELEVANT EXPERIENCE!!!
•Minimum preferred experience is 1 year of avionics experience that includes terminating connectors in a non-military job
•Familiarity with wiring schematics and electrical principles
•Ability to fabricate wiring harnesses a plus
•Ability to read and understand installation instructions, maintenance manuals and blueprints
•Sheet metal knowledge helpful
•Ability to follow written and verbal instruction
•Ability to purchase own tools required for the jobs assigned
•Must work as a team member to ensure quality and timely completion of aircraft to meet schedule
•Ability to work overtime as required
•Additional skills/experience may qualify candidate for higher level / pay grade. (Note: a skills test will be administered during the interview process)
Physical requirements:
•Ability to sit, stand, crawl, climb ladders, and work in tight spaces as required.
•Ability to lift 25 lbs.
