Location: St. Petersburg, Florida

Terms: Long term Contract Employment

Requirement: DOD required

Basic Qualification/Skills:

Existing DOD Secret Clearance or greater.
Results-oriented, self-starter, research and solve problems, and communicate effectively in writing and verbally with senior leadership, and with the team.
B.S. or M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Applied Math, or Physics.
Description:

Systems Validation, Test and Analysis Directorate (SVTAD) provides integration, verification, test, and analysis, for US and International Navy customer needs.
We are seeking Systems Engineers to support SVTAD's Integration, Verification, Validation and Data Analysis section in St. Petersburg, Florida.
Opportunities for SVTAD engineers require individuals to use engineering, math, and teamwork skills to perform various engineering activities, such as systems integration and test to verify system capabilities and performance, debugging system problems, root cause analysis and the development of corrective actions; and analysis of expected system performance using tools such as Matlab, DOORS, ClearCase, and various proprietary tools.
The System Engineer responsibilities will include the following responsibilities:

Perform design, development, analysis, and debugging of system problems, root cause analysis, and development of corrective actions.
Collaborate with engineers and take ownership authority to integrate, execute and sell-off requirements to verify a successful run for record in the laboratory environment to the Customer.
Interface with leads and use integrated test processes, metrics, and techniques to accurately assess integration task progress and status.
Support customer briefings, and provide inputs to technical presentations and reports necessary to support specified requirements.
Desired Skills:

Ability to work well in teams.
Experience using DOORS requirements management tool.
Development of integration, verification, and validation planning documentation of integration and test plans, procedures, reports, status reports, and other related documentation.
Experience and interest in working with lab equipment and measurements.
Experience with Agile Scrum techniques.
Experience with MATLAB.
Experience with Naval Combat System.
Interest in defense companies and defense work Education Requirement.
Experience with computer programming languages (e.g., C/C++, Java).
