Job Description / Responsibilities:
The Facilities Project Engineer will support the implementation of the restoration of existing facilities and new facilities projects in support of ULA Atlas V, Delta IV and future Vulcan Launch Operations at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station Florida. The successful candidate, as part of ULA’s Engineering and Infrastructure Construction Management Team. They shall be required to build and track project schedules, write statements of work with the design engineers detailing contractor direction and support the development of proposal and project budgetary cost estimates. They shall participate in pre-bid walkdowns and construction kick off meetings. They shall help integrate and coordinate multiple contractor’s construction activities around launch processing activities. Work includes field progress and quality monitoring, construction problem resolution relating to design issues, existing conditions and schedule conflicts. Shall support the timely reviews of multiple types of contractor submittals. Shall help lead recurring construction planning and status meetings. Shall track project costs and schedules progress recorded in a variety of databases.

The successful candidate should have at least 15 years of relevant project engineering and construction management experience.

Skills:
This position requires knowledge of predominantly construction management techniques, technical writing, spreadsheet and database use, scheduling using MS Project and a sound practical knowledge of heavy industrial construction, industry principles, practices, and industry standards.

Educational and Professional Qualifications:
A Project Management Institute certification in Project Management and a Bachelors degree from an accredited college in Engineering is preferred. Equivalent experience/combined education, with 15+ years of professional experience will be considered.
