Business Systems Analyst

PDS Tech is seeking  Business Systems Analysts for frequently recurring positions in Everett, WA.

  • Act as a technology lead and liaison between various internal groups and our IT organization. This role will play a key role in supporting the primary development team by creating architectural and business logic diagrams and documentation, owning release notes and communications, and managing incoming bug reports.
  • Drive business alignment by defining the scope of future work in the form of projects, feature requests, issue resolution and platform maintenance.
  • Enhance and stylize basic architectural and design documents created by developers and turn them into amazing, professional system documents.
  • Identify blind spots, lead documentation effort for new and previous development.
  • Maintain and organize large sets of documentation, act as the subject matter expert for non-project specific architectural and process documentation.
  • Act as a liaison between development team and business for sprint/release communications.
  • Create and manage release notes for major system releases.
  • Capture detailed and orderly notes from meetings, often about unfamiliar technical or business subjects.
  • Monitor incoming bug reports from multiple production and test environments and relay to appropriate parties.
  • Perform basic investigation/analysis and create work items for development team as needed.
  • Create and manage TFS work items for development and non-development-related activities.
  • Assist in identifying gaps in feature or function coverage and provide recommendations to decision makers.
  • Create in-depth, deliverable-based project documentation such as project scope, requirements, and change request documents.
  • Organize planning and collaborative meetings, and Joint Application Development sessions with internal business owners, subject matter experts and other stakeholders to capture and clarify business and functional requirements..
  • Perform deep-dive research with subject matter experts and available documentation.
  • Negotiation of deliverables.
  • Maintain a professional and knowledgeable presence for the IT organization within the larger company.

As our ideal candidate, you will meet the following requirements:
  • Candidate must possess a bachelor’s degree or have a minimum of 5 years of industry related experience.
  • Ability to touch type 50 plus WPM in order to create organized and legible meeting notes.
  • Ability to overcome dependency delays from other delivery groups through proactive communication while maintaining a positive tone.
  • Experience working within an Agile SDLC.
  • Experience with project management principles and processes.
  • Experience in CMMI or other continual process improvement model.
  • In-depth knowledge in providing BA support in at least one or more of the following domains:
    • Telecommunications
    • Network Engineering
    • Software Development

  • Experience in planning, developing, managing scope, and validating requirements throughout the project life-cycle.
  • Ability to travel as need arises to facilitate communication and delivery timelines.
  • Ability to produce high-quality audience specific requirement documents, including but not limited to wireframes, red-lines, workflow diagrams, architectural diagrams and end-user documentation within a short turnaround time.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Proficient in the use of Elicitation and Modeling techniques to identify and document requirements.
  • Proficient in gathering data through SQL querie.
