Electrophysics Engineer (MO) - ACTIVE SECRET

Description:
The selected engineer will be responsible for new modes being integrated into the F-15. Responsibilities will include requirements definition, integration, analysis and test (lab and flight) of the new modes. This position requires close coordination with the F-15 Radar Supplier, USAF customers and other F-15 teams. Develops architectures to integrate systems and components into higher level systems and platforms. Performs trade studies, modeling, simulation and other forms of analysis to predict component, interconnects and system performance and to optimize design around established requirements. Defines and conducts tests to validate performance of designs to requirements. Manages appropriate aspects of supplier and partner performance to ensure compliance to requirements. Provides support to products throughout their lifecycle by developing root-cause analysis of anomalies and other engineering support as requested. Supports project management by providing work statement, budget, schedule and other required inputs and by reporting project status. Works under general direction.

This position requires an active Secret Security Clearance pre-start, with ability to obtain Special Access Clearances post-start.

Previous avionics development experience is required. Previous experience with Radar systems is highly desired. Experience with Earned Value Management systems is desired.
Radar systems Development
Complete ability to develop new technology and designs for radar system components, subsystems, and systems and associated signal processing.

Radar System Algorithms
Complete knowledge and understanding of electromagnetic theory, radar systems, signal processing and software related to radar system algorithms. Complete ability to specify requirements, analyze performance and develop new algorithm technologies related to various type of radar sensor systems, including seekers, collision and threat avoidance, fire control and synthetic apertures.

Requirements/Traceability
Complete knowledge of how to derive and allocate requirements (e.g., system, sub-system, software) and show traceability throughout the product lifecycle

Test Program Design
Complete knowledge of test program design (e.g., design of experiments, test plan development, validation).

Analytical Skills
Skill and ability to: collect, organize, synthesize, and analyze data; summarize findings; develop conclusions and recommendations from appropriate data sources at the department level.

Detailed Supplier Knowledge
Complete knowledge of manufacturing, materials and assembly processes. A fundamental knowledge of business systems for example organizational structure, manufacturing processes, risk mitigation, capacity planning, past/present delivery performance, design definition, program directives, engineering drawings, change memos, wiring diagrams and schematics, functional tests, and supplier data.

Bachelor's and 5 or more years' experience, Master's degree with 3 or more years' experience or PhD degree with experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
