FPGA Development Engineer

Xpeerant Inc is searching for:

FPGA Development Engineer

Client is expanding their engineering team in Boulder, Colorado. We are seeking highly skilled and motivated engineers that are technical specialists to create a paradigm shift in the management of Big Data, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Cloud Solutions.
There are several positions available for FPGA SystemDesign Engineers with experience in developing high performance, leading edge computing subsystems utilizing algorithmic based design, High Level Synthesis (HLS), and Verilog/SystemVerilog on custom pc board designs that are used in the latest computing systems.
Develop system/subsystems and underlying algorithms implemented with Verilog/SystemVerilog
Work with other team members integrating both custom and 3rdparty physical interfaces
Understand and leverage the capabilities of the latest FPGA technology, memory, and I/O interfaces
Responsible for understanding and implementing design tradeoffs that balances functionality, performance, device resource usage and product schedule
Work with verification engineers to develop and implement a validation strategy
First line responsibility for design testability
Knowledge of emerging technologies/trends for FPGA, computer system, and design methodologies
Experience with designing standard memory interfaces, such as DDR using the Xilinx MIG or high speed SERDES interfaces, using the Xilinx GTX and GTH transceivers
For more senior contributors - take technical leadership role within team to drive projects, develop system specifications, and provide technical guidance to ensure schedules and objectives are met
Participate in team based agile design
Experience with FPGA or ASIC design/synthesis, time constraints and timing closure
Strong compute design background
Knowledgeable with standard tools, such as Verilog/SystemVerilog, Vivado, Synopsys and Questa
Hardware verification background is preferred
Linux/C background a plus
Solid understanding of agile design methodology
Positions are open to range of experience levels

Good interpersonal skills and ability to relate with people from a variety of fields
May be subject to government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Equivalent Experience
