My client is looking for a FEA Analysis Engineer for tank transportation and handling analysis for LNG and LO2 tanks. This is a 5-month contract position. Location is Centennial, CO.

FEA Analysis Engineer

Description of Work:

The Structures group requires analysis support to analyze a variety of load cases for the rocket booster tanks during transportation and handling (T&H).
• LO2 Tank
• LNG Tank
• Thrust Structure (VTS)
• Combined structure (LO2 Tank, LNG Tank, VTS)

Tasks
Specific tasking will be prioritized and agreed upon between engineering management and the CONTRACTOR management, in an on-going fashion throughout the Period of Performance (PoP).
2.1 For each of the items identified in the scope:
• Conduct static FEA analysis
• Determine analysis model setup based on tank and structure design, as well as Ground Support Equipment (GSE) concepts
• Approximately 2-3 iterations are anticipated due to changed designs, and refinements based on analysis results
• Any CAD changes will be done by the client; this is an analysis task only

2.2 For each subassembly:
• 4 load lift cases anticipated

2.3 For the combined structure:
• 3 load lift cases anticipated
• 3 horizontal transportation case

2.4 Coordinate and collaborate with the Production Lead, GSE Lead, and Lead Analyst

The location is Centennial, CO.

The rate is open. Start date is July, 2017. The duration is 5 months.
