Role Summary/Purpose: Performs two or more quality inspections to ensure maintenance of engineering requirements for tolerances, capacities, and product performance; utilizes a variety of measuring tools in completing assigned steps.
Follows written procedures and directions to perform the required quality checks, utilizing a variety of inspection equipment, gauging devices, and test sets
Alerts supervision and enters nonconformance in electronic database ( Oracle MRP system) when unusual or frequent defects are discovered in the product
Reads blueprints, and uses all measuring devices for dimensional requirements, and makes out all proper records and documents
Inspects electronic assemblies, sub-assemblies, circuit cards, modules, and/or components for correct assembly, value, forming, and position, etc. as established by drawing, schematic, parts lists, work standards, and/or other predetermined criteria
Performs First Article Inspection (FAI) on intermediate components/parts
Accepts or rejects units in accordance with established work standards (IPCs)
Utilizes written or visual instructions involving use of quantitative information from specifications, graphs, pictures, blueprints, dials, gages, etc.
o High School Diploma or GED
o IPC-A-610 Certification- preferred currently certified in IPC A 610 (may be expired, but will need to pass with in-house training)
o 1-3 years of Manufacturing experience; preferably in electronics
Skill Level Required:
o Basic computer skills
o Skills required in maintaining close tolerances, inspection of complex assembly or tools & gages, advanced blueprint/specification reading and interpretation, ability to operate a variety of complex measuring machines and equipment
o Skills required in simple mathematical concepts
o Should possess dexterity skills, good hand & eye coordination
