Configuration Analyst (Secret Clearance)

Active Secret Clearance REQUIRED - must have last investigation completed within the past 4 years and 6 months as this is part of a Special Access Program (SAP)


Description:



  • As a Configuration Management (CM)/Data Management (DM) Analyst the applicant will be required to create and update Configuration Management Plans, Data Management Plans, process and release documents utilizing the Siemens Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) Teamcenter tools of Enterprise Product Information Center (ePIC) and Teamcenter Unified Architecture (UA).

  • In addition, the candidate will be required to lead the CM/DM discipline on programs and be able to support the various program or project Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) in the area of adhering to proper CM/DM practices to help ensure company work instructions and processes are followed.

  • Also, the CM/DM Analyst will be required to enter new part number information into the Deltek Cost Point 7.1 System to ensure parts and components can be procured to enable fabrication.

  • Additional tasks will be to perform product configuration baselines, audits, and able to lead various Configuration Control Board (CCB) meetings.

  • The generation, release, and delivery of Contract/Supplier Data Requirements Listings (CDRLs/SDRLs) will also be an important part of the responsibility of the CM/DM Analyst to ensure that the delivered items meet contractual requirements.

  • Other activities will include interfacing and coordinating with program managers, customers, suppliers, planners, design team members, and other various departments of the company.

  • At times tasks will require additional work hours to be performed as overtime to support the various milestones and key delivery dates.

  • Familiar with and good knowledge and background in CM/DM Practices per EIA-649 and MIL-HDBK-61A is a huge plus.

  • CM/DM cert. a plus.

  • MDIA Cert huge plus.

  • IS/IT or software are not a good fit.

  • Need background in hardware config/data mgmt.

  • Exp. w/ design engineering very helpful.

  • Need understanding of activities, change orders, change notices, baselines (life cycle phases), and audits.

  • Change Mgmt for networks, computers, servers, etc. NOT appropriate skill set, need CM exp in Hardware Prog. System Change Mgmt, config. control, maintaining builds, and revisions.

  • Should be able to audit prog. releases, set baselines.

  • Will support multiple programs at a time (~6-8.) Should be organized, flexible, able to multitask.

  • During int. will ask to explain prior CM/DM exp.

  • If cand. talks about IT/IS, networks, servers, etc. they will NOT be a good fit.

  • If they talk about Product lines, hardware config, supporting builds, baselines, or audits they are likely a good cand.**
