Stress Analyst - CAPU

Description:
Candidate must have demonstrated experience analyzing SLS subcomponents hardware such as: Core Stage Auxiliary Power Unit (CAPU), exhaust duct, and other vendor component hardware. Demonstrated experience using finite element modeling approaches, both linear and non-linear, to evaluate the identified SLS components. Structural analysis skills could also have been honed on the Ares I Upper Stage Main Propulsion System (MPS) components, commercial capsule experience, Space Station hardware, and the X-38 Orbital Crew Return Vehicle. Structural analysis will specifically include NASTRAN SOL 106, SOL 109, SOL 111, and SOL 101. Other required tools include experience with PATRAN, FEMAP, NASGRO, Unigraphics and NX.

Required: Candidate must have a BS in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, or other related degree. Candidate must have 35+ years demonstrated skill analyzing various aerospace hardware, including experience performing Material Review Board (nonconformance assessments) for launch vehicle components.
