Project Controls Subcontractor Administrator


  • Responsible for monitoring and managing financial subcontractor results of respective projects.  Collaborate with management on defining and implementing project reporting systems & work processes as they relate to subcontractor financial reporting.  Support the execution of subcontractor project reporting.  Provide accounting, administrative and clerical accounts payable support as it relates to subcontractors.  Ensure all associated subcontractor construction contract compliance documents are in place with respect to documentation and electronic processing of subcontractor invoices.


    Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    • Monitor and manage monthly subcontractor financial forecasts on work performed
    • Coordinate with the Financial Reporting team to understand work processes set in place for subcontractor invoicing and provide improvement feedback
    • Familiar with generally accepted cost forecasting methodologies at the project level
    • Lead contact for Subcontractor Financial Management on issues/discussions
    • Develop and implement best practices within Subcontract Cost Management
    • Review contract terms & conditions of existing Subcontract agreements
    • Ad Hoc requests to support business goals of Subcontractor management
    • Ability to learn Eco Sys Cost Management Software
    • Monitor subcontractor insurance certificates in compliance with contract requirements and advise subcontractors of corrections/modifications needed
    • Process monthly billings and subcontractor payments
    • Follow up with subcontract payable s and subcontractors to ensure timely payment of subcontract work
    • Assemble and file necessary project subcontractor documentation for archiving  

  • Requirements:
    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, Engineering or Construction Management.
    • Minimum of 8 years of proven cost accounting or financial management experience with increasing level of responsibilities
    • Self-motivator with strong written and verbal communication skills. 
    • Ability to balance and prioritize multiple day-to-day and ongoing projects simultaneously. 
    • Must have proven high proficiency skillset in Microsoft Excel.
    • Must be very organized and be able to manage multiple tasks, provide quality work with time sensitive deadlines while
    • maintaining a positive attitude and working in a team environment
    • AP and/or Bookkeeper experience a plus
    • Must possess demonstrated working knowledge of Subcontract Management
