A leading Aerospace company, located in Canoga Park, CA, is seeking a Project Engineer / Component Product Engineer III - IV (Valves & Actuators) for a 6+ month contract role.

Position is for a Component Product Engineer / Project Engineer for the development, fabrication and test of rocket engine valves and actuators.
xperience with liquid rocket propulsion systems desired.
-Understanding and use of analytical, design or process procedures pertinent to Rocket engine valve and actuator advanced development.
-Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications, develop planning and procedures for assembly and test; Ability to communicate clearly and concisely; effective presentation and report writing skills will be required.
-Project skills in developing MS Project scheduling and Earned Value Measurement Systems is a plus.
-May require the use of engineering test equipment, CAD, and/or various computer systems.
-Ability to operate effectively in a team environment.
-Demonstrated leadership skills are highly desireable.
BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering is required, plus 3 years experience in related field. MSME/AE degree is highly desirable.
25%: Development and fabrication support of rocket engine components using engineering and scientific principles.
25%: Translates engineering and scientific concepts from preliminary ideas through product life cycle.
20%: Interfaces with other members of project or program teams, management, and technical staff to define and implement engineering solutions to meet group, organization, and company objectives.
10%: Develops trade studies, design concepts, systems integration and component-level test plans.
10%: Supplier integration with external vendors
10%: Analyzes and verifies product design and performance for adequacy and reliability. Supports investigation and resolution of hardware and process anomalies and issues identified by preventative action/corrective action boards or safety initiative activities.
-Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
