Senior Embedded Software Engineer

Description:
Major purpose:
We are currently seeking a Senior Software Engineer with experience writing embedded software. This individual will have the opportunity to work on both Infrared and Space Product lines, responsible for a variety of software tasks throughout the full lifecycle. Responsibilities include designing, coding, documenting, and testing C and C++ applications/systems. General knowledge of hardware and communication protocols is a plus.

Required Competencies/Skills:
• Experience using C/C++ to develop embedded software
• Experience using software version control tools (Perforce, git, SVN, Mercurial, etc.)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team
• 6+ years of experience
• Minimum of BS in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or similar

Preferred Competencies/Skills:
• Experience with Communication Protocols (Ethernet, RS232/422, 1553, Camera Link, GigE Vision, etc.)
• Experience working with other programming languages such as C#, MATLAB, Python, etc.
• Experience in the Defense, Space, Aerospace, or similar industries
• Experience with Real-Time Operating Systems
• Experience developing software using object oriented programming techniques
• Experience using electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes, DMMs, and basic lab equipment
• Experience with Linux and Windows Development Environments
• Basic knowledge of circuits, schematics, and hardware design

Education/Experience/Licenses etc.: To be considered for this position, the applicant must have at least a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
