MECHANICAL ENGINEER - DESIGN/ANALYSIS/SUSTAINING -

Description:
Johnson Service Group (JSG) is searching for a Mechanical Engineer with a strong background in design, analysis, and sustainability, to assure the performance of hydraulic actuation components, currently in service on commercial and military aircraft.

Summary of Job Scopes:

3-6+ years of related mechanical sustaining engineering experience, ideally with hydraulic actuators and hydraulic control valves, or similar products for the Aerospace Commercial and and Defense industries.
Requires mechanical engineering expertise with hydraulic control valves and hydraulic actuators.
Working knowledge of gears is a plus.
A qualified candidate will interface with the Quality Assurance and After-Market Organizations to support the investigation of field failures or internal proposed changes.
Responsible for interfacing with design and analysis engineering organizations to implement proposed design changes.
Requires working knowledge and understanding of requirements verification processes to assure the successful implementation of any proposed design changes.
Responsible for assuring the existence of artifacts that document the verification of any proposed design changes.
Position requires a working knowledge of data configuration management and change control process.
Responsible for interfacing with configuration management organization to assure the release and control of relevant configuration data.
Requires working knowledge of aerospace standards, i.e. relevant SAE ARP, FAA regulations & guidance, military standards, etc.
Working knowledge of ATA 2000 is a plus.
Responsible for determining the effort (hours) and the duration (time) required to generate all technical support for the sustaining activities.
May carry out complex or novel research assignments requiring the development of new or improved techniques and procedures.
May promote and implement process improvements company-wide.
May write product standards and design guidelines.

Education:

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a similar technical discipline
