Aircraft Maintenance Controllers

STS AeroStaff Services is hiring Maintenance Controller in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Description:
The Maintenance Controller is responsible to the Manager of Maintenance Control for managing
mechanical irregularities. Maintenance Control (MC) will work with Maintenance, Planning, and
Operations Control Center (OCC) to coordinate the scheduled workload for all maintenance bases.

Responsibilities:

• Uses independent judgment and discretion to ensure that mechanical delays that occur are handled in a safe and expeditious manner in accordance with company General

• Maintenance Manual

• Coordinates with OCC, Maintenance and Purchasing as required, to expedite aircraft return to service

• Controls and tracks all Deferred Maintenance Items

• Ensures all parts not in stock which are needed to clear DMI’s are ordered

• Authorizes all maintenance discrepancies to be placed on deferral and clearly communicates

• DMI status (open or closed) to Dispatch in a timely manner

• Assures all deferrals are accomplished in accordance with company manuals and Federal Aviation regulations

• Completes and distributes all applicable forms and documents in accordance with procedures set forth in company General Maintenance Manual

• Tacks parts and equipment while they are in transit to an A.O.G. aircraft

• Provides point of contact and control for maintenance performed on company aircraft away from main maintenance base by Allegiant personnel or contract maintenance

• Assists Planning in issuance and tracking of scheduled maintenance workload

• Uses independent judgment and discretion to coordinate scheduled and unscheduled maintenance performed on Allegiant aircraft except at

• Substantial Maintenance vendors

• Other duties as assigned by the Manager of Maintenance Control

Minimum Requirements:

• High School graduate or GED; Associates Degree preferred

• A & P license

• Five (5) years of industry experience (aircraft maintenance/technical operations) with at least four (4) years in heavy transport aircraft

• Minimum Two (2) years MD-80/DC-9 systems, avionics and power plant experience

• Minimum Two (2) years Maintenance Control Preferred

• B-757 and A-319/320 systems, avionic and power plant experience preferred

• Must pass a full background check and pre-employment drug screen

• Must have authorization to work in the U.S. as defined in the Immigrations Act of 1986
