Buyer/Supply Chain Analyst

A Buyer/Supply Chain Analyst in Austin, TX is currently available through Belcan. This is a Direct Hire role. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced role, and will work on supply chain and inventory management tasks in order to develop and maintain robust operational performance, and optimize production throughput, quality, and cost. Buyer/Supply Chain Analyst job duties:
* Maintain supply chain obligations including but not limited to delivery lead-times, budget requirements, supplier/vendor relationships, quality and function specifications
* Source and procure all components, effectively and efficiently
* Maintain and improve a physical inventory organization system to ease material replenishment review, including subsequent purchases as required to fulfill production demands
* Communicate with supply base to ensure on time delivery and elevate delivery requirements, as needed, to meet production goals;
* Prepare and send RFQs; Create RMAs and shipments
* Complete incoming inspections of materials in a timely manner;
* Perform 'kitting' of jobs as sales orders are received and inventory needs are defined;
* Create and maintain appropriate documentation including, but not limited to, traceability materials/certifications, workflows and quality records;
* Monitor supplier and production controls and measures for existing and new products;
* Participate in or support troubleshooting and root-cause analysis of quality events; support process owners in the planning and implementation of corrective measures;
* Lead or support negotiations with customers concerning fulfillment of their quality demands and/or resolution of quality deficiencies including preparing customer-facing documentation;
* Support the implementation of an AS9100 quality management system.

* Bachelor of Science in Engineering or a related field from an accredited college or university;
* Prior experience or training in quality assurance, supply chain, or manufacturing preferred
* High degree of competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, Project, and Outlook
* Proficient in the use of CAD systems (Solidworks or NX preferred) and able to work with/interpret engineering drawing
* Understanding of manufacturing methods (such as machining, forming, soldering, and fabrication)
* Understanding of electronic assembly materials and processes
* Familiar with Military / Aerospace specifications and compliance systems such as MIL-STD-810, MIL STD-461, and DO-160.
* Experience with project management, documentation practices and with AS-91000 preferred
* Occasional travel required.
