Avionics System Engineer

Description:
Our team is defining the future of mobility, designing and developing Vahana, an innovative autonomous flying vehicle for passenger and cargo transport. As an Avionics System Engineer, you will report directly to the Avionics Lead Engineer.

To get specific, your responsibilities will be to:
Contribute to the definition of a state of the art architecture compliant to stringent safety and security requirements to create the first certified avionics for a fully autonomous manned vehicle;
Team up with partners and suppliers to specify, design, build and test aircraft components;
Manage aircraft configurations and carefully track weight and power;
Actively contribute to the system integration, system test and flight test activities.
Establish innovative methods to ensure testability, manufacturability and low production costs.

We expect that you will have the following qualifications:
A Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant subject such as Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering;
Experienced in full lifecycle development in the aviation industry, including requirements, design, integration, validation, and verification;
Experienced with development and test processes supporting aircraft certification (ARP4754, DO-178B/C, DO-254, DO-160 and DO-356);
Expert with data bus protocols (TCP/IP, Arinc 429, RS422/485, CAN...);
Knowledge of Python or other programming languages;
Familiarity with modeling languages is a plus (SysML, UML…);
Familiarity with development of schematics and cable drawings is a plus;
Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
