Electrical Engineer

Description:
Location: Palmdale, CA
Rate: $61.16/HR
Duration: 1 year contract
Shift: 9/80-A
Per Diem Split: Yes (if eligible)
Overtime: Possible

Job Description:
- Researches, develops, designs, and tests electrical components, equipment, systems, and networks.
- Designs electrical equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for commercial, industrial, and domestic purposes.
- The applicant will be focused on the electrical wiring and harness assembly diagram design and development.
- Duties include creating wiring diagrams and harness assembly diagrams, resolving wiring/integration related issues between the various avionics/electrical systems, validating/interpreting/troubleshooting/resolving any wiring related issues, performing technical checks to ensure wiring document correctness, providing engineering sign-off on all new/revised C-5 manufacturing wiring documents (Wire Routing Documents (WRDs), Termination Aids (TAs) and Wire Harness Master (WHM) sketches).
- Candidate will be part of a team effort to develop C-5 wiring from design to installation, to include liaisoning between C-5 Avionics Wiring Design and Production/Manufacturing to ensure wiring requirements flow from design to installation are processed in accordance to Company Specifications.
- Engineer is required to support air vehicle electrical harness component and installation design and fabrication.
- Associated tasks include the development of air vehicle electrical drawings and drawing revisions, and coordination with production operation personnel support of air vehicle assembly (aircraft shop support).

An ideal candidate will possess experience in the following:
- Working knowledge of CATIA and the CATIA Harness function
- Familiarity with electrical and electrical schematics (CAPITAL, connectors, back-shells, aircraft wire types)
- Mechanical knowledge of aircraft hardware (aircraft structure, miscellaneous small parts)
- General drawing and drawing revision practices

- BS+9-15 YRS or MS+7-13 YRS
