Contract Project Manager - E E Background (OK)

Description:
Basic Purpose/Accountabilities:
Accountable for project management activities, including front end loading, detailed design, and construction support for electrical projects at the Client Refinery Technical Services.

Accountable for small and mid-sized projects up to $30MM.

Primary Functions/Responsibilities:
Safety
• Manage electrical projects resulting in all work being conducted safely, environmentally friendly, and technically sound. All compliance requirements will be met.
• Complete all required safety training and adhere to applicable safe work practices and procedures.
Integrity
• Accountable and deliver on commitments
Responsibility
• Provide single point of accountability for project management and project expertise.
• Manage project costs, project schedule, personal resources, technical competency, environmental requirements and safety.
• Interact with Process, Instrument/Electrical Engineers, and Mechanical Engineers to coordinate project activities and coordination of assigned resources for completion of projects to meet project timeframes.
• Taking a lead role in electrical capital projects
Innovation
• Participate in and support the use of the Front End Loading and other demonstrated best practices in the execution of projects.
Teamwork
• Partner with customers to develop project charters, secure funding, engineer projects, support construction and provide assistance through the startup of projects.

Critical Skills:
• BS degree in Electrical Engineering
• Able to interact with Contractors

Experience with:
• Electrical design, technical expertise and engineering support related to refinery electrical equipment and power distribution systems.
• Project management including developing capital estimates, preparing funding, detail design, scheduling, construction and execution plans.

Other:
• Minimum of 5 years refinery project experience
