Job Description
SUMMARY JOB DESCRIPTION:

- The primary work location will be in Nagoya, Japan. However, depending on the positions applying to, a successful candidate may be required to relocate to Seattle or Moses Lake (Washington State, USA) where aircraft flight tests are performed.

- Basic scope of work is to provide assurance of successful showing of compliance with relevant regulatory requirements in the Type Certification Application and Approval processes with regard to fire protection

- The main duties of a successful candidate include coordinating with Fire Protection System suppliers, witnessing Qualification Tests, supporting Ground/Flight tests, creating system analysis reports, System Description document and other related documents as well as demonstrating compliance with 25.1309 (DO-178).

- A successful candidate may also be requested to travel to supplier sites (mainly to North Carolina) in order to liaise with them by helping complete mutual open tasks and witness qualification tests when Qualification Tests are conducted.

- A successful candidate will be required to manage the technical contract requirements with applicable equipment suppliers and other interfacing suppliers as appropriate.

- A successful candidate is requested to work flexibly and effectively in a multi-cultural and multi-linguistic environment in Nagoya Headquarter of our company in Japan. Basic Japanese Language skill is preferable but not required.





COMMON QUALIFICATIONS:

- Bachelor%u2019s Degree in Engineering with 10-15 years of aviation related industry experience, or

- 10-20 years in an aviation engineering organization; Aerospace or Aircraft Systems Engineering.

- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

- Ability to demonstrate interpersonal and communication techniques

- A good team player who can work in a team environment and coordinate with other engineers from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.

- Ability to identify potential issues in the course of Type Certification approval process.

- Must possess ability to develop, plan and implement short and long term goals.

- Ability to adapt successfully to changing situations and environments

- Ability to dealing with changing priorities and workloads

- Experience of airworthiness standards & codes in respect to certification of both components and related aircraft systems



JOB-RELATED QUALIFICATIONS:

Performs the safety analysis according to ARP 4754 for the Air System. Creates the following analysis documents (but not be limited to these).
- System Safety Assessment
- Draws up test plans based on the Derived Safety Requirements.
- Common Mode Analysis
