Provides mechanical support for research, design, development, or manufacturing activities for various customers
Applies mechanical theory to lay out, build, test, troubleshoot, repair, and modify engineering prototypes and RC products
Read and interpret blueprints/drawings and understand GD&T with the ability to run parts from prints
Order raw materials and tooling as required to produce prototype parts
Sets up, operates standard equipment, and uses CAD/CAM software to perform CNC programming for automated equipment
Uses gages, precision measuring instruments, and all necessary inspection equipment to perform quality checks
Documents mechanical design, design modifications and has responsibility for documentation maintenance
Assists engineers with the development of new engineering processes and/or products to ensure their manufacturability, may recommend design changes
Perform as member of design team, including leadership role, utilizing effective communication skills
Solid understanding of written/verbal instruction methods used by customers
Provide support/instruction to less experienced mechanical technicians
