Industrial Engineer

Description:
perform Industrial Engineer tasking, including, but not limited to:
• Application of Industrial Engineering concepts, techniques, analysis and decision tools to promote and assist in implementing changes in manufacturing, engineering, and service operations;
• Application of general industrial engineering techniques and concepts to product and process design teams throughout all phases of product lifecycle, resulting in a robust product design and work statement that meets program requirements;
• Development of models, data bases, and spreadsheets for data analysis (e.g., statistics, operations research, engineering economics);
• Summarization of analysis and metrics for consultation to customers (e.g., management, departments, suppliers);
• Participation in research, design, development, improvement, and implementation of processes to enhance schedule performance, lower cost, and improve quality, through the application of Lean and other Industrial Engineering concepts for large scale systems integration and asset utilization;
• Definitization, management, administration, and mediation of controlling scope, cost, and timing of projects to completion;
• Execution of risk analysis using project management tools (e.g., work break-down structure, precedence network, resource allocation);
• Utilization of engineering methods (e.g., mathematical models, simulation, statistics) to support the development of optimal process designs and efficient utilization of resources (e.g., facilities, personnel, materials, equipment) in the creation and validation of products;
• Development and analysis of value streams, including capability, capacity (e.g., make/buy, supplier selection, risk analysis, supplier performance), throughput, work flow and logistics (e.g., critical path, lead-time, transportation, factory layout)
• Translation of current PROJECT SCHEDULE TO AURORA CONSTRAINTS BASED MODEL;
• Creation of War Room Lists for execution of daily plans;
• Development and maintenance of metrics;
• Participation in and support for meetings (immediate workgroup, customer, stakeholder, and/or Program);
• Participation in Workshops/Process Improvement initiatives and opportunities;
• Documentation and communication of work process disruptions and the subsequent lessons learned;
• May perform tasks in Foreign Object Debris (FOD) controlled environments.

Required: BS or MS degree in an accredited engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry field; Experience with Constraints Based Scheduling (Aurora) and/or heavy simulations experience.
