Electrical Engineer - cooling/refrigeration Interiors

Electrical Engineer

Duties & Responsibilities
1- Perform engineering analysis of power electrical circuits, equipment or systems.
2- Perform hardware bring-up and integration and lead power conversion systems hardware / software integration.
3- Write product and test specifications.
4- Support new programs from conceptual design, through detail design to completion, ITCM, PDR, CDR…
5- Provide sustaining engineering on existing products and technical support for fielded equipment.
6- Develop & implement the power control system
7- Develop methods for and participate in hardware testing.
8- Develop schematics and layouts, working with team members and/or external vendors.
9- Develop, in collaboration with SW & embedded systems teams, software and firmware.
10- Perform engineering studies on architecture and implementation options.
11- Work with suppliers to review equipment design from electrical aspects by applying aerospace regulations such as RTCA/DO-160 and RTCA/DO-254, RTCA/DO-178 guidelines to electronics hardware/software designs.

Required Qualifications & Skills
1- BSEE degree or greater with career emphasis on industrial power circuits.
2- Experience with power conversion topologies and electrical components used in power conventional and switching applications (ATRU, VFMD, APFC, …).
3- Experience with power distribution, motor control, or process control is essential, including the use of DC, AC, multi-phase, aircraft voltage levels
4- Experience with hands-on design validation and testing of electrical circuits
5- Experience using common test equipment
6- Experience creating schematics and PCB Layout using Altium or OrCad.
7- Experience with data communication from/to microcontroller/PC (USB, UART, I2C, SPI, CAN…).
8- Ability to manage projects from start to finish
9- Ability to work both with a team and independently
10- Self-motivation and resourcefulness

Desired skills
Familiarity with common Aerospace, Aviation, MIL standards used in harsh environments: RCTA/DO-160. ABD0.100.x, RCTA/DO-178, RCTA/DO-245, D6-x, MIL-STDs 810, 901, 167,MIL-STD 461, MIL-STDs 1275, 704
Familiarity with UL 60950-1, 62368-1, 61010-1 product safety standards
Experience with EMI management, including filtering, wire routing, etc.
Familiarity with ISO 9001 and AS 9100 quality system requirements
