Systems Technician

Summary
Hands‐on aircraft manufacturing
Fabricate, Assemble and Test Aircraft systems and components
Fabricate and Assemble Composite parts and assemblies
Utilize Shop Tools/Machinery
Work with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system to record job status, time spent, and material tracking
Work with a Time Management System
Follow instructions precisely to complete complex assemblies accurately
Read Engineering Orders (E.O.s), blueprints, and Manufacturing Work Instructions (MWI)


Must Haves
Hands-on experience with aircraft fabrication and assembly required.
Knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems
Knowledge in functions of inspection, maintenance, installation, modification and repair of composite structures and aircraft systems
Knowledge of troubleshooting procedures and skill in diagnosing problems and determining corrective action for applicable problem within system
Fabricate, assemble and install aircraft components and systems, including landing gear, flight controls, pneumatic, hydraulic and environmental control systems
Electrical systems installation: layout and buildup of wire harnesses, splicing, crimping, installing, connecting and checking out of electrical lines
Airframe & Power Plant License strongly preferred but not necessary
Hands-on experience in a precision yet manual manufacturing setting strongly preferred
Identifies acceptable defects. Uses applicable inspection criteria for non-destructive inspection
A strong understanding of the importance of FOD control and tool control
Experienced with Quality Inspection points and process documentation
Daily attendance is essential for this position
Can think outside of the box and finish jobs per schedule and demands
Must be able to take direction well and be a strong team player
Extreme attention to detail and continual pursuit of perfection
Excellent listening and communication skills
Excellent organizational skills and problem-solving skills
Knowledge of lean manufacturing philosophies and tools a plus
Experience with manufacturing-based ERP systems a plus
Strong safety work ethic – recognizes the importance of properly handing hazardous materials, chemicals, tools, etc
Enjoys manual/physical labor
Comfortable working in a non-temperature controlled environment
Familiar with the FAA’s AC 43.13-1B
