Research Program Manager

Description:
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Client is seeking a research program manager to lead efforts in the planning, organizing, completion, and presentation of assessments in support of Air Force Research Laboratory trusted microelectronics projects. The selected candidate will be responsible for technical leadership of projects within the programmatic guidelines set by the senior program manager and customer. The research program manager will define, generate and review project requirements documentation, perform standard technical studies to refine project requirements, and monitor projects to ensure work scope, schedule, and budget are well defined and maintained. The selected candidate will supervise technical staff.

The selected candidate will work closely with the customer and other collaborators to manage intellectual property (IP) rights. The research program manager will work with stakeholders inside and outside of Client to obtain rights to various IP/data necessary for contract efforts. The selected candidate will prepare scientific and technical information report packages for coordination between Client technical and management personnel and government customers. The selected applicant will assist in proposal preparation to include research in past performance, storyboarding, proposal writing, etc.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
Background in digital electronics or semiconductor design is preferred. Supervisory experience and recent experience in the management of intellectual property is desired. Previous DoD experience a plus.

EDUCATION:
Accredited Bachelor’s Degree in engineering with ten years of experience. Other degrees will be considered with acceptable technical background and experience.
