Quality Assurance Engineer

Description:
seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer in Oldsmar, FL.

Description:
This position entails the completion of First Article Inspections (FAI), final visual inspections (FVI), and review of product and documentation for cables, circuit card assemblies, and electronic enclosures prior to delivery to the customer. The responsibilities also include working with the functional Quality Engineer to investigate SMT defects, analyze SMT defect trends, identify root causes, and assist with corrective action implementation.

Skill/Experience/Education
MandatoryMUST BE WILLING TO WORK 2ND SHIFT 1 year minimum experience in the performance of final visual inspections and first article inspection and High School Diploma with additional specialized technical training. Experience working with surface mount assembly processes as a process technician or engineering aide. Knowledge of specifications IPC 610, IPC 620, J-Std-001 and familiarity with interpretation of engineering drawings per ASME-Y14.100 Above average computer skills to include use of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Adobe Acrobat. Detail oriented, good oral and written communication skills, ability to interface with customer representatives in a positive, professional manner. Prior experience with Solumina and SAP is preferred.

Desired:
Familiarity with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) 2-year Technical Degree Working knowledge of Solumina Experience with SAPamiliarity with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) Certification to IPC 610
