Model-based System Engineer

Description:
This position is responsible for preliminary model-based systems design of avionics networking and I/O infrastructure.

REQUIRED SKILLS:
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or Computer Science
• 7+ years aerospace systems engineering experience
• Experience specifying Interface Control Documents (ICD) for systems and subsystems including
o Interface definitions using Domain Specific Data Model (DSDM) notation
o Physical interfaces using Architecture Analysis and Design Language (AADL) format with Quality of Service/Time-sensitive Networking (QoS/TSN) flow requirements for mission and air vehicle systems
• Experience in Model-based System Engineering (MBSE) including
o Systems Modeling Language (SysML)
o Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DODAF)
• Experience in Comprehensive Architecture Strategy (CAS)
o System Architecture
o System Design
• Familiarity with safety and security considerations of MOSAs
• Familiarity with Army Military Airworthiness Certification Criteria (AMACC)
• Ability to work with cross functional teams in a remote environment
• Effective Communication Skills (both verbal and written)
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
• Self-motivated, Accountable, Detail-oriented

PREFERRED SKILLS:
• Master's Degree with 5+ years of experience in a related model-based engineering or systems engineering discipline
• Experience in Comprehensive Architecture Strategy (CAS)
o Reference Architecture
o Objective Architecture
• Experience in Modular Open System Architecture (MOSA) including
o Open Mission Systems (OMS)
o Future Airborne Capability Environment (FACE)
o Joint Common Architecture (JCA)
• Certification Guidelines familiarity:
o ARP4754
o ARP4761
o MIL-STD-882
• Cameo Systems Modeler
