Assembly & Test Technician

PDS Tech, Inc. is seeking an Assembly & Test Technician in Albuquerque, NM.


  • This position is responsible for performing advanced technical hardware test and troubleshoot duties assigned to meet production requirements, flexing to different jobs to meet customer needs as the Business requires. 


  • Monitoring, assisting, and improving all aspects of Safety, Quality, Productivity, Inventory and Delivery in their work cell. 
  • Will abide by all Safety requirements and work rules, adhere to Standard work, flex and learn new work assignments as directed to support business objectives. 
  • Participate in daily Tier 1 meetings and perform periodic audits for 5S, HSE&F, ESD, and TPM. Immediately notify Group Leader, Supervisor and/or Engineer of any issues. 
  • Perform Total Productive Maintenance, (TPM) on assigned equipment as required, ensure log entries are maintained. 
  • Perform all other related duties as assigned. 
  • Participate in Tier 1 Producability, Safety, and General Continuous Improvement activities. 
  • Participate in Tier 1 BIQ/RPS activities as required. 
  • Work required daily and weekend overtime as required to meet customer demand and ISC OPS directives. 
  • Ability to cross-train on a variety of electronic product groups. 
  • Perform advanced-level sub-assembly and box-level test and troubleshoot activities. 
  • Mentor lower-level technicians with basic troubleshooting skill enhancements. 
  • Lead advance problem solving and permanent corrective action activities within Tier. 
  • Interface with all levels of support groups. 
  • Perform a variety of electronic and mechanical hand assembly on PWA’s, ECA’s, and Finished Goods.
  • Use of rework equipment, microscopes, and various mechanical assembly tools and fixtures required. 

You Must Have: 
  • Minimum 4 to 6 years of experience in assembly, test, and troubleshoot of electronic assemblies to component level. 
  • Ability to interpret schematics, assembly drawings, component data sheets and follow advance sub-assembly and device level electronic and environmental test procedures and processes. 
  • Ability to perform various mechanical assembly tasks, such as final device mechanical build. 
  • Associates degree in Electronics 
  • Must be a US Citizen due to contractual restrictions.

  • Requires knowledge of industry specific tests and testing equipment. 
  • Ability to use standard testing processes on a variety of equipment and records and analyze results. 
  • Ability to perform a variety of tasks and works under direct supervision.
