New England Supplier Quality Manager (211)

Description:
*This is a full time, 6 month contract position, based in Nashua, NH will be travelling in the New England area 50% of the time.*

*Must be able to get a Secret Security Clearance after starting, but must apply prior to job start.*

We are seeking a New England States travelling Defense Subcontractor Supplier Quality Engineer who will monitor our manufacturing suppliers to ensure their manufactured parts and assemblies are compliant to company standards. As part of the position it will be expected the candidate travel 50% of the time to local as well as overnight travel, will, on a regular basis, determine if products conform to drawings, specifications, established requirements and take corrective actions based on root cause analysis.

Contractor will be expected to make periodic reports, analyze, plan and take corrective action on issues that arise. Candidate will be constantly communicating and monitoring issues with supplier including metrics/scorecards such as Key performance indicators (KPIs) and SCAR which ensure suppliers are meeting company goals. Applicants will be working in supply chain logistics from raw material to finished goods including, working with ERP systems and quality management software.

Required:
*5 years’ experience in performing Defense Subcontractor Supplier Quality
*Experience with PWB/CCA inspection/test, equipment/instrumentation (IPC-A-600, IPC-A-610) certification
*Understanding of a AS9102B processes
*Strong background in monitoring and communicating regularly with suppliers
*Experience in Special Process application and validation (i.e. plating, paint, welding, heat treat)

*Knowledge of Environmental Stress Screening (ESS) and supply chain logistics from raw material to finished goods

*Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system/Quality Management Software system
*Able to get a Secret Security Clearance after starting, but must apply prior to job start.
*4 Year degree in Engineering or similar technical area.

Pluses:
*Experience working in a Lean Six Sigma Green / Black Belt environment, certification preferred

*Familiar with Composite material machining and fabrication; GD&T
*Experience executing or coaching suppliers on AS9102 FAIs and PPVs

*Working knowledge of APQP and PPAP techniques
