SUPPLIER SPECIALIST

Description:
JSG is looking for an Supplier Specialist for a 15+ months contract opportunity in Trumbull, CT!

Description:

Manage supplier accounts. Responsibilities include develop and drive commercial strategy and contract administration with suppliers, lead supplier negotiations, coordinate and support supplier proposals for new program selection, provide oversight and leadership with regards to supplier performance such as deliveries, quality, cost management, and continuous improvement, and develop a strategic outlook of supplier capability.

Job Description:

Manage suppliers for the delivery of material to fulfill external and internal customer requirements.
Daily calls with suppliers to insure on time delivery per MRP schedules.
Coordinate with suppliers to populate the SDS commit file looking out 90 days.
Work with suppliers on material delays in regards to technical issues.
Manage vendor relationships and performance issues.
Be aware of and follow all applicable Federal Aviation Regulations, hazardous materials requirements, repair station requirements, FARS and DFARS, and Company Aircraft policies
Other tasks and duties as assigned by management
Coordinate with customer groups and suppliers for the expediting of urgent material.

Experience Preferred: SAP, purchasing, material planning; advanced computer skills especially with Access
