KBRwyle, Inc. is seeking an experienced Systems/Avionics Integration Engineer to support the acquisition of aeronautical systems and subsystems. The successful candidate will utilize their expertise in analyzing avionics systems used to dissect the integration of advanced avionics and sensor systems and subsystems for the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC). The candidate will provide support to the Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) program office’s work efforts. This position will focus on technical assessments and management of program developed artifacts, test results, and acquisition milestone events for each system. Candidate will participate in preliminary and critical design reviews, program status reviews, engineering change proposals, scheduled maintenance reviews, incident investigations and operational capability reviews with other stakeholders. The candidate will be experienced and successful at solving complex system integration and engineering issues, enjoy working in a dynamic, responsive, and collaborative environment, and dedicated to the success of our customers against advanced, persistent threats.

Requirements

•Bachelor's degree in a technical related field required; Master's degree highly desired

•Broad understanding of systems engineering; an understanding of security; a technology specific understanding (e.g., avionics development); and a domain specific understanding (e.g., aircraft, space systems).

•Must have the ability to communicate with and distill information from technical resources during formal and informal meetings.

•Active TS/SCI Eligible Clearance

Tasks will include;

•Draft, review, coordinate, and update (as necessary) the Systems Engineering Plan (SEP) and other acquisition-related products/documents necessary for the life cycle management of the ASARS-2B/C system.

•Draft, review, update, coordinate, and assist with the completion of other acquisition-related products/documents necessary for the life cycle management of the ASARS-2B/C system.

•Support systems engineering efforts to align with current and planned Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) development associated with Sensor Open Systems Architecture (SOSA) and Common Open Architecture Radar Program System (COARPs)

•Provide recommended contractual language to specific engineering sections of solicitations

•Assist with technical evaluations and various engineering-related reviews

Preferred Skills

Knowledge of systems engineering principles, verification and validation of requirements, and understanding the Air Force’s acquisition processes is desired.

Current experience and knowledge of the DoD acquisition processes and other service specific requirements is preferred. Ideal candidate would have experience in avionics integration and system engineering processes.
