Aerospace Structural Engineers - Redondo Beach, CA

Description:
STS AeroStaff Services is hiring Aerospace Structural Engineers in Redondo Beach, California.

Job Duties:

• Perform mechanical design of spacecraft structures and deployables
• Duties include requirements definition, conceptual design, preliminary / layout and detail design review presentations, mass properties and support to fabrication
• Responsibilities may include leading small work package, technical support, trade studies, mass optimization and meeting schedule and cost commitments

Basic Qualifications:

• 9 Years’ with Bachelors in Science; 7 Years’ with Masters; 4 Years’ with PhD
• 9 years’ of Concept, Design and Integration experience
• Strong CATIA V5 experience and knowledge of Opto-mechanical design

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong mechanical engineering skills spacecraft components, structures and deployables
• A working knowledge of CATIA V5 and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance applications (GD&T) is a requirement
• SmarTEAM and Enovia experience, background in mechanical design of composite and metallic aerospace structures is a plus
