Sr. Configuration Analyst

Job Designation

The Sr. Configuration Analyst provides expertise on complex technical data. Examines new and revised product documentation to verify completeness and accuracy of data, and resolves discrepancies with originators, while aligning with Meggitt's policies and procedures.

Job Core Responsibilities

Primary responsibility is to provide configuration management analysis to support the manufacturing of various aircraft products, analyzers, cables, and navel products
Proactively address configuration management related issues and concerns across the program
Maintain version control over multiple baselines being worked and/or fielded simultaneously
Assist in the maintenance and development of CM policy, plans, and procedures to ensure that all projects maintain the integrity of complex software, hardware and documentation throughout the project life-cycle
Ensure compliance to the Configuration Management, Engineering Change Order (ECO), Limited Engineering Order (LEO), Advance Change Notice (ACN), Configuration Control Board (CCB), and item master processes.
Responsible for ensuring that existing Change Management and Change Control processes are systematically enforced throughout the development and production life cycles
Maintain “As-designed” and “As-built” BOM configurations and associated documentation
Work closely with engineers and managers across varied disciplines
Assist in and react to periodic audits on the conformance to CM practices for all Configuration Items, document findings and develop and deploy necessary corrective actions
Prioritize, manage, and maintain workload to established company requirements and deadlines
Perform to established metrics to ensure ISO, CM and contract compliance
Other responsibilities as assigned
The primary duties of this job require administrative, non-manual work directly related to business operations involving responsibility for processes and policies of significance, evaluation of possible solutions and results of the work for which the employee is responsible and making recommendations and/or decisions accordingly using professional judgment. Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance
Education: Post-secondary degree or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectations

Years’ Experience: 7-10 years of relevant experience Skills

A working knowledge of MIL-HDBK-61A and ANSI/ASME Y14.5M is desired
A complete understanding of configuration management and document control is required
Strong analytical skills, project management and process management skills
Excellent communication skills including effective oral, written, and presentation
Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in ambiguous situations where only limited standardization and structure exist
The ability to research, interpret and implement national and military standards governing our business
Knowledge of Class I (major) and Class II (minor) changes is required
Knowledge of Data Management and contract data deliverables management (CDRL/SDRL) is desired
Knowledge of computerized MRP/ERP systems is required
Knowledge of computerized PLM systems is desired
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to multi-task
An understanding of purchasing, planning, production manufacturing and R&D is required
Understanding of Statement of Work (SOW) and requirements flow up/down is desired
Exposure to commercial and military projects is desired
Ability to prioritize with changing situations
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
