Manufacturing Engineer II

Description:
This position will work with the Engineering and Manufacturing teams and will ensure the successful integration of each design element with production as a whole. The Manufacturing Engineer will work with minimal intervention and must rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals while performing a variety of complex tasks. This individual will work both independently as well as part of a team to complete projects related to the production of aircraft components, assemblies and installations involving metals, non-metallic and composite materials. Specific duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Work to a Customer’s Statement of Work (SOW) and specifications in accordance with a defined schedule.
Demonstrate knowledge of standard concepts, practices, and procedures within aerospace.
Experience utilizing Solumina and CATIA V5 software.
Communicate with customers and suppliers, translate technical information and ensure compliance to standards and requirements.
Tackle complex multi-faceted problems with competing requirements under significant schedule constraints.
Identify critical issues, perform risk assessments and communicate impact to stakeholders. Expected to suggest solutions to resolve identified issues.
Use creativity and innovation to solve problems.
Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications & Skills Requirements:
Requires a BSME, BSCE, BSAE, or a Bachelor’s degree in a related engineering field and a minimum of 5-9 years of experience in the Aerospace Industry or in a related field or the equivalent in training, education and experience.
Requires intermediate knowledge of Solumina, CATIA V5, and must be highly competent using MS Office products.

Physical Requirements: Individual must be able to sit for extended periods of time, working at a desk and/or attending meetings. May occasionally require employee to stand and/or walk and occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Will need to be able to move throughout the office and talk/hear or otherwise communicate with other employees and management. Work will be performed in an office environment.
