Mid-Level Electrical Engineer

Mid-Level Electrical Engineer
(US Citizenship Required*)
Pittsfield, MA

Join our team as a Mid-Level Electrical Engineer to support the design, development and test of various Hardware Configuration items and subsystem-level designs, required to support our customers' mission.

• As an individual contributor within electrical engineering, develop Hardware Configuration Items and Subsystem Level electrical designs
• Exercise creative thinking to advance our business performance
• Deliver innovative, flexible, integrated solutions to meet customer's changing business needs
• Support and engage in programs, projects and practices behind our culture and strategy, complying with all policies and procedures
• Follow industry and department trends and developments to ensure services are consistent with, and/or superior to, industry best practices
• Interface with vendors for product development, other engineering disciplines, and local Navy office
• Direct/support Manufacturing as required
• Attend formal design reviews as both a Presenter and Reviewer
• Participate in electrical requirements analysis, definition, and management; functional & performance analyses (timing, power, etc.); design, integration, and verification of electrical components, equipment and systems
• Apply principles and techniques of Electrical Engineering
• Perform electrical engineering root cause analysis for electrical issues, conduct experimental tests, evaluate results to formulate and implement solutions to issues
• Participate in electrical reviews of electrical components, equipment and systems
• Evaluate vendor capability to support product development
• Apply a good understanding of the organizationally defined electrical processes used throughout the lifecycle of the program or project
• Support generation of engineering products by using the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the electrical development life cycle
• Contribute to research and analysis of data, such as customer design proposal specifications, and manuals to determine feasibility of design or application
• Select components and equipment based on analysis of specifications and reliability
• Plan sub tasks for activities described above
• Generally works with multiple work groups, on problems of moderate scope under frequent general supervision
• Generally has some contact with project leaders and Program Managers; some contact with external customers
• Occasional required travel to Field Sites

• Required – active Secret clearance. Candidates without active clearance will not be considered.
• Strong Communications Skills
• Familiarity with the Trident program (Desirable)
• Requirements development, verification and documentation (Desirable)
• Digital and/or Analog Design background
• Considerable use of electrical engineering concepts, principles, and theories
• Considerable understanding of electrical engineering processes
• Keeps abreast of technology trends
• Aware of business objective and Engineering role in achieving
• Considerable knowledge in Microsoft Office applications
• Considerable knowledge in electrical engineering design tools
• Considerable skill with written and verbal communication, including issues, impacts, and corrective actions
• Able to think creatively and multi-task
• Understands and begins to apply basic project management principles including IMS, earned value and score cards
• Able to recognize and clearly report information relevant to sound electrical engineering design
• Works well in a team environment
*US Citizenship is required by law, regulation, executive order, or government contract.

Education and Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, a related specialized area or field is required (or equivalent experience) plus a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree.
