Materials Program Manager

PDS Tech, Inc. is seeking a Materials Program Manager, in Menlo Park, CA.

  • The Materials Program Manager (MPM) is responsible for the management and delivery of the product financial health for groundbreaking, highly integrated consumer electronics products.
  • This person has a business orientation and works with operations, engineering, and finance teams driving development, implementation, and management of materials for the product build plan.
  • The MPM is the business voice responsible for capturing, documenting, and communicating financial exposures and outlay as they relate to the product.
  • They are involved throughout all stages of the product family's lifecycle to ensure the products achieve all financial and delivery targets through end-of-life.
  • They will support weekly executive new product reviews, monthly executive Sales & Operation Planning reviews outlining business implications relating to materials.

Basic Skills:
  • 5+ years Consumer Electronics industry experience is must.
  • Advanced user of excel.
  • Familiar with MRP/ERP systems.
  • 5+ years experience evaluating and qualifying new suppliers based on technical merit and value contribution.
  • 3+ years experience in program management.
  • 5+ years experience driving the supply chain and operations teams to provide detailed cost reduction results.
  • 5+ years managing purchase price variance claims resulting from engineering changes, component obsolescence, or forecast variance.
  • 5+ years experience in procurement practices working with engineering, supply chain, and JDM partners.
  • 5+ years experience in a procurement organization in a consumer market segment company with annual spend of (USD)10+ million for product materials.

Preferred Skills:

  • Working knowledge of electronic technologies, products, and tools.
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and maximize internal resources.
  • Experience leading and defining materials requirements and driving these across diverse organizations.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical or supply chain discipline.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain/Operations or Engineering.

Note: There may be up to 20% international travel (Asia).
