Summary:
The Structures Company is seeking a first rate experienced CNC Programmer to write and verify previously written programs as well training programming technicians on the philosophy of CNC programming.
If you have a great attitude and a creative mind then you will feel right at home in this organization! The first task of this role will be to quickly learn and understand our unique bonding and assembly processes used in the production of these aircraft.
The technician in this position will work from engineering drawings and detailed work instructions to fabricate top quality aircraft and spaceships components. You will find yourself amongst the best and brightest while being part of a pioneering organization!
Create and establish programs for all CNC machines, ensuring accuracy, including verification or support with programming written by alternate shop personnel Authenticate programs prior to use or implementation. Review and analyze engineering definition with respect to in-house capabilities, such as CAD files or part renderings Work with Engineering personnel, Machinist technicians and management to establish opportunities to increase productivity within the workplace, such as Setup/Run time, Quality, Safety, etc. Assist operators, when necessary, on basic programming and troubleshooting Program File and revision organization Programming revisions for future builds Develops standardized set-up & Tooling list for operators and implementation Identifies the tooling required to complete parts or job, predicated on material type, engineering definition, machine envelope, capacities & capabilities, prior to job commencement
Desired Skills:
5+ years of experience with CNC programming and machining. Hands-on experience in a precision and prototype environment Familiarity with current versions of Mastercam, NCSIMUL A strong understanding of the importance of FOD control and tool control. Experienced with Quality Inspection points and process documentation. Thinks outside of the box and finish jobs per schedule and demands. Must be able to take direction well and is a strong team player. Extreme attention to detail and continual pursuit of perfection. Excellent listening and communication skills. Excellent organizational skills and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of lean manufacturing philosophies and tools a plus. Experience with manufacturing-based ERP systems a plus.
