Electrical Engineer (Hood River, WA)

Description:
Join an Industry leader in the UAV field that understands the importance of a work life balance. We are located in Hood River which means you will be working in one of the most beautiful places in the US and an resort area for some of the best outdoor activities in Oregon. We work a 9/80 schedule which means 26 three day weekends a year. You will be working on challenging and interesting projects for a dynamic company that values a Pioneering spirit.

Will be responsible for implementing electrical system architecture, identifying new technologies and develop design requirements. Allocates requirements across system architecture and designs and conducts trade studies. Monitors subsystem design development activities for architectural consistency. Performs and/or evaluates risk assessments and generates or approves risk mitigation plans and strategies.
Decomposes system requirements and evaluates sub system design development. De-conflicts and resolves module-level requirements allocations. Creates and/or reviews electrical system architectures and develops detailed electrical hardware and firmware designs. Establishes the electronic hardware interface designs and review and monitors design consistency. Develops and/or reviews and approves electronic hardware documentation packages.

QUALIFICATIONS
Do you have experience with Analog, Digital, Power Distribution and EMI/EMC fundamentals-concepts within circuit design? Familiar with Rigid PCB technologies (IPC Standards, PCB fabrication, PCBA Assembly processes and documentation standards, AS9100 standards), Ethernet, RS232 and VeriLog? Familiarization with Flex and Rigid-Flex Technologies would be a plus.

Education & Experience
Typical experience: 9-13 years in an engineering classification with a Bachelor's degree or 7-11 years experience in an engineering classification with a Master's degree

Specific Experience Required
CAD Tools: Preferred experience with Mentor Graphics DxDesigner, Mentor Graphics
Hyperlinx - Signal Integrity simulation, Power Integrity simulation and Circuit Analysis tools (E.g. LTSpice).
Test and Debug: Mixed Signal Oscilloscope, Spectrum Analyzer, Digital Multi-meter, Programmable Load and other test tools.

Other requirements: Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Visio.
Programming skills(added bonus): FPGA SOC/microcontroller, Verilog, Embedded-C.
