Description: PDS Tech, Inc. is seeking a Supplier Quality Assurance for an open position in Windsor Locks, CT. QUALITY MANAGER Responsibilities: • Manage the AMS quality management system, quality manual and procedures to AS9100 and FAR145 compliancy, as well as internal requirements • Schedule and perform internal audits • Represent AMS during Customer audits • Support procurement processes and ensure quality requirements are accurate and flowed to suppliers • Perform supplier audit and oversight procedures • Lead escape management process, for both external and internal suppliers • Manage RRCA for supplier escapes to CS customers • Manage QN & QIM processes for nonconformances/product returns • Ensure timely and thorough response to all customer inquires • Represent AMS on company aftermarket customer service quality review board • Drive ACE initiatives as it pertains to quality function • Liaise with central quality authorities and aftermarket quality to drive root cause/corrective action
Education: B.S. Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering Technology or Quality Engineering Technology. A background in Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement, Lean Manufacturing, or Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) is a major plus.
Experience/Qualifications: • Minimum 6-10 years quality engineering or related experience • Strong knowledge of FAR145 and foreign airworthiness regulatory requirements • ACE Associate level certification • Strong leadership and team-building skills • Expertise in practical problem-solving skills • Internal and external auditing experience. • Proficiency in MS Office applications such as Word, Access, Powerpoint and Excel • Proficiency in SAP
Additional Comments: Minimal travel expected, but evening telecons will be required to support overseas business units.
