Magasys Technician II


Level II Megasys Tech has 3 more years experience than base Megasys Technician (level I). 

The MEGASYS┬« Technician core activities: 

• Work on shift with a team without supervision 
• Develop a functional proficiency for site equipment, which includes chemical, slurry, and gas delivery systems 
• Perform container changes (bottles, drums, totes, bulk tankers) 
• Perform alarm response for delivery equipment 
• Perform non invasive preventative maintenance using documented procedures 
• Update electronic equipment logs 

On the job training will allow the technician to develop fundamental knowledge to assist with technical support, which includes equipment troubleshooting and system adjustments. 
Such troubleshooting/adjustments include: 
• Regulator adjustments 
• Concentration/Conductivity/Particle excursion response 
• Pump rebuilds 
• Transducer adjustments 

Strong mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting skills and hands-on technical and/or electronics experience preferred. 
Must be a strong team player and willing to work rotating shifts, on-call schedule, holidays, weekends or off shifts. 

Willing to perform physical labor which is generally associated with cylinder and drum movements. 
A Fit for Duty Evaluation will be required: occasional lifting and carrying 25-50 lbs, frequent movements like bending, stooping, squatting, reaching above shoulders, pushing & pulling, exposure to changes in temperature/humidity and wearing protective equipment like respirator & ear plugs. During some tasks, technician will be required to climb ladders, wear fall protection and work from an elevated platform. Respirator information: Scott Safety AV3000 (S, M, L)/ AV2000 (S, M, L, XL). Contractors require the clearance to wear a respirator, a Scott full face respirator. It is a supplied air respirator and not just a breathing mask. The results from the physical are the determining factor and/or possibly a pulmonary function test if there is any doubt on the medical practitioner’s part during the Fit for Duty Evaluation. 
They will be fit tested and trained on site with the model that fits them. 

Workers are required to complete hazardous communication training (Right to Know) before work. There are no planned activities or work in which a worker is exposed to any of the products used onsite.

Note: 12 hour shifts working on an alternating schedule of 36 hours one week and 48 hours the next week. Day shift 6:00 am-6:00 pm, night shift 6:00 pm-6:00 am. 

Education must be on candidate resumes. 

Worker must provide a two hour notice prior to the start of the scheduled shift if he/she is unable to report. Ensure that worker asks and has at least two contact names and telephone numbers! 

Work attire: 
Jeans are fine (no shorts), shirts with collars preferred (polo’s or button shirts)-nothing inappropriate written on them. Can wear t-shirts if they have Air Products logo’s. 
Contractor will be provided with vouchers to purchase safety boots, which they are required to wear.
