Chipton-Ross is seeking 4 Launch Technicians - Agency located in Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, FL
RESPONSIBILITIES: oStage, set up, assemble, test and install flight hardware. oAble to use precision calibrated tools - torque wrenches, micrometers and calipers. oHands-on operations with both large as well as small, fragile assemblies. oAble to read and interpret blue prints. oPerform work according to procedures, specifications and test instructions. oAble to use various mechanical tools without instruction. oCollaborate with launch engineers to develop and document activities. oEnsure launch services are performed on time, safely and in a professional manner. oPerforms other related duties, as assigned, for the purpose of ensuring an efficient and effective work environment.
Preferred Skills and Experience: oKnowledge of pressure, temperature and flow measurement devices; mechanical and electrical systems. oSkill in operating and manipulating machinery and various hand and power tools requiring manual dexterity. oA demonstrated ability in reading/understanding technical drawings, manuals and reports. oAbility to rapidly change roles/responsibilities while working in a high-paced, challenging work environment. oExperience with forklifts, cranes and heavy equipment is a plus. oAirframe & Powerplant or Aerospace Technology certification preferred. oAbility to perform hydrostatic and pneumatic testing a plus.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: oMust be able to climb ladders and work in tight spaces. oMust be willing to work all hours, and overtime, as required.
EDUCATION: Accredited High School Diploma or GED. Accredited Associates degree preferred.
WORK HOURS: Full-Time 50 hrs. /week
MISCELLANEOUS: Must be willing to travel
