Test Engineer

Description:
A contributor on a Test Development team focused on developing hardware and software test sets for RF/microwave systems. This individual will be responsible for interpreting product specifications and developing necessary software test sequences and test fixturing. The individual will also be responsible for integration activities including accurately characterizing the product performance under test on multifaceted test equipment technologies.
This position requires the individual to be able to isolate and resolve design defects in both hardware and software.
The individual will be required to maintain ownership for all aspects of their test development projects.
The candidate must be willing to work off-shifts or extended weeks to meet schedule milestones.
Successful performance will require driving manufacturing test development for complex RF/ microwave systems, and integrating tests into a lean manufacturing environment.

Skills Required:
The candidate must be familiar with microwave theory with software competencies in Agilent VEE, NI-TestStand or NI-LabWindows.
Individual must be capable of conforming to a structured development approach with the ability to participate in design reviews within a multidiscipline team.
The candidate must demonstrate appropriate time management, task tracking, organizational skills, and ability to read, understand, and follow requirements

Skills Preferred:
• Experience in developing test software application using automated test methods
• Familiar with the control of hardware through software interfaces (automated test sequence)
• Familiarity with RF instrumentation (i.e. network analyzers, spectrum analyzers and signal sources)
• Software programming competencies (Agilent VEE, NI-TestStand, NI-LabWindows, C, C++, etc)
• RF test fixture design competencies
• Advanced computer skills including MS-Office applications
• Familiarity with functional test procedure development and maintenance
• Experience in conducting design reviews with project leads and stakeholders

Experience Required:
Prior DoD experience preferred

Education Required:
This position requires a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical field with 5 years of applicable work experience; or a Bacholer’s Degree and 3 years experience.

BS degree in Engineering
