Job Title: Plater

Job Duration: 12 Months

JOB DESCRIPTION

· Coats ferrous and non-ferrous parts using chemical and electro-chemical plating and treating processes,
including: cadmium, copper, temper etch, white layer, anodizing, black oxide and hard chrome.

· Determines from blueprint and EOS the process to be used, the amount of treatment desired and surfaces to be masked.
Plates various ferrous and non-ferrous materials.

· Loads and unloads parts.

· Visually inspects parts prior to unloading, for suitable surface for plating and after plating for coverage and buildup.

· Checks the functioning of equipment periodically during the process to estimate any additional plating time
required.

· Anodizes, dichromates and chrome pickles parts when volume of electro-plating does not require full
time.

· Masks parts when required.

· Plates or processes experimental and development parts.

· Has basic knowledge of environmental regulations.

· Keeps work area clean.

· Performs other duties as required.

· This job requires access to US export-controlled information.
