CMM Programmer

Description:
A CMM Programmer job is currently available at Belcan Engineering in Bangor, ME. This is a full time, direct job with benefits. Great matching candidates will strong CMM programming skills using MODUS and PCDMIS. This will be an onsite position at our large aerospace customer.

CMM Programmer Job Duties:
* Develop CMM programs to drive productivity improvement of existing long lead-time programs with high operator intervention.
* Review procedures (Inspection/Repairs etc.) from the Manual and develop CMM programming which is compliant to the procedure's specifications.
* Generate programs in CMM languages using MODUS and PCDMIS.
* Verify new CMM programs prior to release on the shop floor ensuring SQA.
* Provide daily operator support in the form of CMM programming and troubling shooting support to the shop floor.
* Provide CMM related support to our local manufacturing engineering teams and provide operator training during new the implementation of programs.
* Support and implement tooling and fixturing requirements associated with CMM programs.
* Provide effective communication to appropriate team members when needed.
* Work effectively as an individual and in a team-based environment in a matrixed organization.
* Work effectively in a fast-paced environment and provide flexibility where needed to deliver new programs and minimize disruption to the operating rhythm.
* Work cross-functionally with engineering and supply chain to identify and retire risks on new programs.
* Train other programmers on best practices as necessary.

Qualifications:
* Five years or more of CMM programming skills, using MODUS or PCDMIS is strongly preferred.
* Outstanding router and blueprint reading skills including GD&T.
* Proficient in the use of precision hand tools, gauges, optical comparator, and surface plate work.
* Experience inspecting tight tolerance, high complexity, feature rich components.
* Self-motivation and ability to prioritize projects to meet completion dates.
* Excellent interpersonal skills. Customer service minded.
* Legal authorization to work in the US required.

Desired but not required skills:
* Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering Degree.
* CAD system knowledge.
* CN Programming and/or Waterjet Programming experience
