CMM Programmer

Description:
A CMM programmer job is currently available at Belcan Engineering in Cincinnati, OH. This is a full time, direct job with full benefits. Great matching candidates will have high level skills CMM programming with MODUS and/or PCDMIS; ideally within the aerospace industry. This will be an onsite position at our large aerospace customer.

*This is an onsite position and cannot be done remotely*

CMM Programmer Job Duties:
* Develop CMM programs to drive productivity improvement of existing long lead-time programs with high operator intervention.
* Review procedures (Inspection/Repairs etc.) from the Engine Manual and develop CMM programming which is compliant to the procedure's specifications
* Generate programs in CMM languages MODUS and PCDMIS.
* Verify new CMM programs prior to release on the shop floor ensuring SQA
* Troubleshoot and make changes to MeasureMax and Valisys languages (including MODUS and PCDMIS) on a range of CMMs. Such as: Giddings and Lewis, Wenzel, Hexagon.
* Provide daily operator support in the form of CMM programming and troubling shooting support to the shop floor
* Provide CMM related support to our local manufacturing engineering teams and provide operator training during new the implementation of programs
* Support and implement tooling and fixturing requirements associated with CMM programs
* Provide effective communication to appropriate team members when needed.
* Work effectively as an individual and in a team-based environment in a matrixed organization.
* Work effectively in a fast-paced environment and provide flexibility where needed to deliver new programs and minimize disruption to the operating rhythm.
* Work cross-functionally with engineering and supply chain to identify and retire risks on new programs.
* Train other programmers on best practices as necessary.

Qualifications:
* At least five years of CMM programming skills, using MODUS or PCDMIS
* Outstanding router and blueprint reading skills including GD&T per ASME Y14.5M-1994 or 2009 standard
* Proficient in the use of precision hand tools, gauges, optical comparator, and surface plate work
* Experience inspecting tight tolerance, high complexity, feature rich components.
* Self-motivation and ability to prioritize projects to meet completion dates.
* Excellent interpersonal skills. Customer service minded.
* Legal authorization to work in the US: Due to the nature of this work US citizenship or Green Card required

Desired but not required skills:
* Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering Degree
* CAD system knowledge
* Cognitens CoreView or ATOS Professional
* DMIS, PC-DMIS & Creo Experience- The CMMs this role will interface with are CAMIO & MODUS- w/REVO Head
* PC DMIS NC on machine inspection.
* Faro and Verisurf knowledge.
* Basic machining knowledge.
* Familiar with Mastercam preferably X6 or higher.
* Outside processing knowledge (Additive Manufacturing, heat treat, plating, coating, EDM, grinding, etc.)
