Aircraft Structures & Interiors Deputy IPT Lead

1. Title:
The Deputy IPT Lead will partner with the current Interiors & Structures Director to manage all Aircraft level integration and design activities for major Structures, Aircraft Interior and installation components. The responsibilities cover Structure Design integration, supplier management, test and change management. Each Structural and Interiors element and associated function shall meet design closure and maturity that meets the Aircraft Specification and criteria necessary to certify the aircraft design and entry into production
2. Reports to: 
Director Aircraft Structures & Interiors.
3. Work Location:
The primary work locations will be in Nagoya, Japan. 
However, employee will be requested to travel to USA/Europe to support business needs as requested.
4. Scope of Work:
  1. The employee will is responsible for integrating all the engineering activities to integrate the Structure design and system installation into the aircraft and the Interior Cabin Safety activities
  2. Basic work scope is to develop and finalize aircraft T/C design, compliant to all applicable regulatory requirements, and customer commitments defined necessary to meet the aircraft specification certification criteria.
  3. This activity includes;
    1. Strategic planning to meet program schedule (short term and long term),
    2. Engineering (Design changes, TSRs, procedures, etc) and Supplier Engagement for Engineering (Supplier deliveries, design changes, etc)
    3. Operate on consensus with senior leadership, regularly present status and schedule.
    4. Implement and manage regular unit level progress reporting and metrics necessary to provide status and strategic planning.
    5. The Deputy position requires strategic level decision making, risk mitigation, progress monitoring and team management necessary to meet the objectives of the program.
    6. Direct and manage relationships with other stakeholders, PMO, SCM, Certification Authorities, external Partners and other engineering teams.

  4. All tasks required to perform above activities are considered within work scope; initiating/ reviewing related documents, discussion with people concerned both within company and partners.

5. Job Qualification
20+ years of aircraft Structure &/or Aircraft interiors experience.  Senior Management Leadership experience is mandatory with demonstrated skills including:  Strong communication and people management,  A strategic/business vision,  Personal integrity/high ethical standards, Teamwork at all levels. Negotiating/influencing skills, Ability to balance strategic with operational issues while overseeing teams across multiple continents and time zones. A sense of humor is critical.
