**This is a contract assignment, projected for 12 months, unless extended**
*This position can be located in either Sterling Heights, MI, York, PA, or San Jose, CA**

**This position specifically requires US Citizenship**

Description:

Our client is looking for a senior mechanical or a structural engineer with minimum 5 years of Finite Element Analysis experience to perform linear and non-linear analyses.

Skills Required:

Candidates must be fully competent in the area of implicate finite element modeling and analysis using LS-DYNA, and Altair’s HyperWorks suite.
Proficiency in MSC Nastran and ANSYS is a plus but not required.
In addition, candidates need to have excellent oral and written communication skills, and must be able to work effectively in a team environment.
Candidate with an MSME is desired, however not required.
Consideration will also be given to strong BS candidates in mechanical or civil engineering with a focus on structural design and analysis and a minimum of 5 years work experience in this area. Candidate should have good working and theoretical knowledge of static, dynamic, shock, and vibration analysis.
Skills Preferred:

Building quality complex shell and solid models of components including full vehicle chassis system models.

Experience Required:

2 to 5 years with MSME or minimum of 3 years with BS
3 to 5 years with MSME, or minimum of 5 years with BS.
Previous experience with Military Tracked vehicles are a plus.
Experience with fast pace, and quick turnaround of solving structural, manufacturing, and design related issues is beneficial.
Education Required:

BS or MS in structures or mechanical
