Environmental Control Systems Engineer

Fort Worth, TX

12 month contract

Environmental Control Systems (ECS) Engineer opportunities in Fort Worth, TX.

Position Responsibilities:

The ECS Engineer is responsible for:

Developing ECS requirements and architecture, including aircraft heating, cooling, defog, air filtration, and oxygen requirements

Conducting design and analysis of the ECS and integrating the ECS into the aircraft in coordination with interfacing systems

Managing supplier development and qualification efforts

System design, requirements management, systems specifications, interface management, system safety assessment, verification and validation testing, aircraft flight test, and aircraft/system qualification and certification

Qualifications

Education Requirements:

•Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or closely related technical field) is required.
•Master of Science Degree is preferred.

Position Requirements:

•Experience at all levels will be considered with a minimum of 2 years specific experience with ECS integration, development, and testing. At least 5 years experience is preferred.
•Familiarity with model based systems engineering
•Familiarity with RTCA DO-160, MIL-STD-810, and military and industry standards for ECS design
•Experience with creation of system specifications, requirements traceability, and verification. Preferred experience with Enovia and DOORS.
•Generation of Qualification and Test plans.
•Experience with ECS development and testing
•Experience with aircraft installation, functional testing, and troubleshooting
•Candidates must be eligible to obtain Secret Security Clearance
